Not because selling a home is complicated — I’ve done it for more than 22 years. It’s because by the time I get the call, pricing the house isn’t really about pricing the house anymore. It’s about who’s more afraid of walking away with too little. Who wants it over with. Who hasn’t been inside the home in three months and doesn’t want to be. Whatever the court ordered, and whether either of you is actually ready to follow it.

I’m Shannon Lindstrom, a Realtor® with RE/MAX Results and a Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert (CDRE®) serving Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the surrounding areas. I handle the real estate side of divorce specifically — court-ordered sales, mediated settlements, collaborative divorces — so that the house stops being leverage and starts being what it actually is: an asset you both need handled correctly.

How I actually work:

I meet with each spouse individually, not across a table from each other. That’s where I actually hear what’s going on — what you’re worried about, what you need the number to do, what you haven’t said to your attorney yet. Then I take all of that and bring it back to one place: the market. Not who’s angrier. Not who’s in more of a hurry. What the data says the home is worth, and what it will actually take to sell it.

I don’t work for either of you against the other. I work to keep the house from becoming one more thing you’re litigating.

What that looks like in practice:

A real number, from current local market sold comps — not a figure chosen to end an argument.
A paper trail. Every pricing decision, every showing, every offer — documented, in case your attorney or the court needs it later.
A timeline that moves on schedule, whether that’s your schedule or the court’s, instead of stalling while two people wait each other out.
Direct coordination with your attorney, mediator, or financial professional, so the sale lines up with your settlement rather than complicating it.

Why Work with a Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert (CDRE®)?

Selling a home during a divorce is different from a traditional real estate sale. With two homeowners, often with different priorities, along with attorneys, mediators, and sometimes the court, decisions about pricing, timing, repairs, and offers require careful communication, neutrality, and documentation.

As a Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert (CDRE®), I specialize in helping divorcing homeowners navigate the real estate process while protecting both parties' interests. My role goes beyond selling the home. I provide a neutral, professional approach that supports informed decisions, clear communication, and a well-documented transaction.

Specialized Divorce Real Estate Training

I earned my CDRE® designation in 2023 through the Ilumni Institute, completing an intensive 12-week program taught by family law attorneys, mediators, mortgage professionals, and experienced real estate experts.

My specialized training focuses on:

Navigating disagreements over home pricing and sale decisions
Maintaining accurate documentation, confidentiality, and professional neutrality
Keeping transactions moving when communication between spouses is difficult

Since 2023, I've also participated in the CDRE® Master's Program, continuing my professional education in divorce real estate practices.

In 2026, I completed Collaborative Experience Training through the Collaborative Law Institute of Minnesota, strengthening my ability to work alongside collaborative divorce attorneys and other professionals helping couples resolve their divorce outside of court.

My goal is to provide impartial real estate guidance during a challenging life transition.
